Basics in permaculture and agroecology

THEMATIC  

Learn the stages of setting up a productive garden, adapting to its space according to its resources and its schedule.

 

GOALS :

  • Define the potential of your garden.

  • Estimate the resources required for implementation.

  • Acquire notions of Pedology (functioning of plants and a living earth).

  • Know the natural alternatives to chemical fertilizers and pesticides.

  • Notions of planning and seasonal work.

  • Notion of biodynamics and monitoring of the lunar calendar.

Training program

DAY 1

  • 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m .: Theory

- Permaculture and Agroecology in a few words.
- Know how to make an inventory, identify its resources.
- Identify their needs, their wishes, align their time and energy

  deploy his garden.
- Case study: the different stages of the implementation of the Listin'Core Association pilot site

  to Appietto.

  • 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m .: Practical work

- In the field: discovery of the place and explanation of the systems in place.

- Greenhouse work (advantages, disadvantages).

- Discovery of compost and vermicompost, discussions and note taking.

  • 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m .: End of the day

- Debriefing, exchange.

DAY 2

  • 8:30 am to 12:30 pm: Theory (notion of pedology)

- The life of the soil, the basics of fertility, natural preparations.

- Prepare your seedlings: planning, prepare logistics, equipment, steps from sowing to

  transplanting.

- Notions of the lunar calendar.
- How to fight against unwanted herbs?
- How to recycle the various organic wastes and use them in the garden?

- The different types of crops possible (on mounds, under straw, in the ground, on concrete, etc.).

  • 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m .: Practical work

- Preparation of seedlings in tray, substrates.
- Prepare a self-fertile culture mound with organic waste.

  • 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m .: End of the day

- Assessment of training, exchanges.
